Call for Papers: “The Changing Basis of Economic Responsibility: A Look from the Perspective of Today”
John Maurice Clark is commonly recognised as one of the most influential figures in US interwar economic thinking. 2016 marks the 100th anniversary of the publication of his paradigmatic article “The Changing Basis of Economic Responsibility“ in the Journal of Political Economy.
The Freie Universität Berlin, in cooperation with the Springer Book Series “Studies in Economic Ethics and Philosophy” and the Weltethos-Institut (Global Ethic Institute) at the University of Tübingen, seeks to revive John Maurice Clark’s article and to initiate a discussion about the basis and meaning of the concept of economic responsibility from today’s perspective.
We would therefore like to draw your attention to the attached Call for Papers (see below) entitled “The Changing Basis of Economic Responsibility: A Look from the Perspective of Today”. Please send your abstracts (max. 1500 words) to Michaela Haase (michaela.haase[at]fu-berlin.de) and Katharina Hoegl (hoegl[at]weltethos-institut.org) by 15 May 2014. Selected papers will be presented at a workshop at the Weltethos-Institut (Global Ethic Institute) in February 2015 and published in the above-mentioned Springer Book series.
