Michael Wihlenda’s research focuses on the question “How can Social Entrepreneurship Education succeed from a global ethic perspective in the context of Amartya Sen’s capability approach?”
Central for his work are a welfare historic perspective on the phenomenon of Social Entrepreneurship, Social Intrapreneurship and Social Innovation, as well as a practical educational perspective on the students’ life worlds. The Capability Approach of Nobel Prize laureate Amartya Sen and John Dewey’s pedagogical philosophy serve as the theoretical basis for his work.
