Dr. Stephan Schlensog
Dr. Stephan Schlensog studied Catholic theology and Indology in Tübingen. He has worked with the Swiss theologian Prof. Dr. Hans Küng for more than 25 years, and in that time has contributed extensively to the development of the the Global Ethic Project.
As well as assisting Prof. Küng with his large-scale research project on the three Abrahamic religions, from 1995 to 1999 Dr. Schlensog also managed the multimedia project Spurensuche, dedicated to the world’s leading religious traditions. In 2006, he published an extensive analysis of Hinduism as a companion to Hans Küng’s trilogy on the Abrahamic religions.
Dr. Schlensog is Secretary General of the Global Ethic Foundation Tübingen and thus responsible for the foundation’s day-to-day operations. At the Weltethos-Institut (Global Ethic Institute), he offers seminars on intercultural competence, especially concerning Hinduism and Buddhism, as well as on the Global Ethic idea.
